VESTEL CELEBRATES THE WORLD INDUSTRIAL DESIGN DAY, 29TH OF JUNE, WITH THE STUDENTS OF YASAR UNIVERSITY IN IZMIR!

The “World Industrial Design Day”, which was announced by ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design) in 2007, has been celebrated every year on June 29 since then. This year is the 50th establishment anniversary of ICSID and will be celebrated around the world through various activities and events.

Vestel collaborated with the students of the Department of Industrial Design, Yasar University, for this special day, which basically aims to increase the awareness about industrial design and to encourage industrial design activities. Within this collaboration, a question, “What are the first words that come to your mind when we say ‘industrial design’?” was asked to the students. The responses were collected and used for the graphic design of the changeable frame of Vestel’s “22945 Polychrome LED TV”. The students of Yasar University participated in the design of this special graphic.

The TV that was developed in collaboration between the students of Yasar University and the Vestel Industrial Design Team will be exhibited at the Yasar University on June 26, 2013. Burak Emre Altınordu, the manager of the Vestel Industrial Design Department, stated that the changeable frames, of which their graphics were designed within the scope of the World Industrial Design Day, will be added to the “changeable frame portfolio” and offered to customers.
