TOYS AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FOR HEALTHY AND BALANCED NUTRITION – EXHIBITION AND AWARD CEREMONY
With the cooperation of Yaşar University, the Faculty of Art and Design, the Department of Industrial Design and Pınar Institute, within the scope of INDD 202 Industrial Design Studio 2, second grade students have developed toys and educational materials for teaching healthy and balanced nutrition to preschool children. The projects exhibition in the Rectorate Exhibition Hall at 14:00 on June 17, 2015 and 4 projects were awarded by Pınar Institute.
GRADUATION PROJECT EXHIBITION AND JURY
The first graduation projects of the Department of Industrial Design, Yaşar University, were exhibited in Rectorate Exhibition Hall and the graduation jury took place with the participation of the academic staff of the department and the project advisors from Vestel Electronic, Vestel White Goods, Çamlı Yem, and the Municipality of Bornova.

‘TRASH GOES TO HOME’ TAKES PLACE AT THE 2. ISTANBUL DESIGN BIENNIAL

‘Trash Returns to Home’ Project, coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatma Esen Taylor, was developed by the first years students as a part of the course ‘Basic Design 2’ at the Department of Industrial Design, Yaşar University, during the Spring Semester of the Academic Year 2013-2014.
The aim of this project is to underline the solid waste problem increasing worldwide in recent years and the possibilities of the re-evaluation of solid waste through their reuses. As a part of this project, waste materials, such as pet bottle, cardboard and tin, were utilised to design conceptual lighting products that need to be energy efficient and are used for interior and outdoor environments. The project seeks to increase awareness of the individuals and the society regarding the potential of the solid waste for reuses to develop functional products that can meet the needs of our daily life activities; as well, it invites viewers to contribute to reducing environmental pollution.
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN STUDENTS EXHIBITION

“Industrial Design Students Exhibition” of 2013-2014 academic year student projects will be held between 20-24 October, 2014, at the Exhibition Hall. The exhibition will be open with a seminar, “Career Opportunities in Industrial Design after Graduation” by Dr. Sultan Kaygın Sel from Vestel Electronic, at 4 pm and continue with the opening cocktail at 5 pm.
