There is a lack of theoretical and practical applications on the importance and impact of corporate and urban culture objects in Turkey. Moreover, University-Industry collaboration is still an undermined concept. The project “Design Strategies of Culture Objects and an Implementation” aims to produce unique culture objects, through the collaboration of Academic Staff and students within Yaşar University, Art and Design Faculty.
Through the findings of Theoretical, Market and Field Research, objects embracing the “five values” of Yaşar University and aiming the sustainability of gift culture experience were designed. Also by creating the brand “Hediye Yaşar“, the infra-structure for a branding study was made.
The design outcomes of this project consists of exclusive souvenirs for daily use, designed for the target users of the university with the common tools of product and graphic design discipline; function, material, production technique, visual perception and aesthetics. Part of the prototypes were produced with the opportunities the Industrial Design Department’s Prototype Workshop provided. Along with the prototypes, the other outcomes of this project was; two articles*/** and a radio program***.
